Was here for a corporate Christmas event. It had a beautiful interior. Good vibes. Although the food was slow to come out and not served the same on both floors.

We had a catered event on the 4th floor. Alot of stairs to climb as the lift was not well sign posted. The 4th floor room is moody and dark, and anchored by some old photos and a bar. The canapes ordered were substantial and delicious. The men's toilets could do with more maintenance cleaning.

Pretty disappointing lunch. Two steak sandwiches orders at $26 each. Mine arrived with the amount of steak below. My colleagues totally fine. Asked them to take as look and a member of staff responded with " not my fault, thats normal". Decide to get a refund. Shame as I quite the bar area.

Beautiful building with lovely decor. A truly amazing atmosphere. The staff are ok, not exactly helpful, they never answer the phone, not even the reservation line.

Wonderful night at the Artisan restaurant at the Arthouse Hotel. Such a hidden gem!! I have lived in Sydney for 35years and never been in this hotel...passed it heaps of times while shopping in the city. I was looking for somewhere to eat before a show at State Theatre and Google suggested the Artisan. It is terrific...food is modern Asian and delicious, great servings and sooo tasty! The dumplings were delicious as was the satay chicken and fried rice, we ordered a large fried rice which was neverending and steaming hot. We love hokkien noodles so ordered them with lamb and hoisin sauce...beautiful! They have a great range of drinks too and the cranberry and ginger mocktail was delicious. The staff were really helpful and Sage, who looked after us was lovely and answered all our question with a smile and patience, she even took some great photos of us, so cool.Definately on our go to list for our city events. Huge thanks to Sage and all the staff, we look forward to seeing you all again soon.

Had drinks during and before happy hour. The server at the bar had a hard time comprehending my order of gin and soda. Kept repeating the words. Luckily another person served us the next order. Definitely visit them in happy hour.

Really nice food and decor, but the service was lacking. One lady was quite rude and didn't make eye contact or speak to us as she brought out the food. Even after we thanked her, she couldn't care less and walked off.

I like this place but tonight they let me down. I met my son there for a drink. He had had a few and so turned to water on the advise of the bar staff. He happily obliged but rather than then let him drink some water the aggressive security just threw him out. When someone has had a few and happy to drink water then let them do that, when challenged as to why, be polite and not be an idiot. We were having a deeply emotional discussion and working through some emotional trauma and this great pub was spoilt by the security. The manager though, understood and was apologetic. Not sure I would go again. Very sad. Please be better at reading the situation and understand who is a threat and who is seeking support and help.
